FoodSansar (खाद्य संसार) is an online marketplace built for Nepal's small farmers and home-based food sellers. Many of them grow or make excellent produce, pickles, dairy and spices, but sell only to people who already know them. We give each seller a free online shop so buyers anywhere in Nepal can find them by province, district and category.
Our mission
To help small producers reach more customers without middlemen taking a cut. Sellers keep 100% of what they earn: we charge no listing fee and no commission.
How we keep the marketplace trustworthy
- Every new shop is reviewed by our team before it becomes visible to buyers.
- Each seller lists their province and district, and their location is locked once the shop is approved.
- Sellers can hide their shop temporarily, and our team can deactivate any shop that breaks our rules.
- Buyers deal with sellers directly — orders, delivery and payment are arranged between them.

Our location directory covers all 7 provinces and 77 districts, so buyers can look for food grown close to home. The site works in Nepali and English and is designed first for mobile phones.
