FoodSansar is a marketplace for Nepal's small farmers and home-based food makers. Families who grow vegetables on hill terraces, make achar in their own kitchens or keep a few dairy cattle usually sell only to neighbours and regular customers, even when their food is better than what reaches city markets. Here, each of them gets a free online shop so buyers anywhere in Nepal can find them.
Before any shop becomes visible, our team reviews it. Sellers list their province and district, which are locked once approved, so you always know where your food comes from. You can browse all 7 provinces and 77 districts, or search by category: vegetables, fruits, dairy, honey, spices, pickles and more.
Sellers keep everything they earn. There is no listing fee and no commission, and buyers arrange orders and delivery directly with the seller. Alongside the marketplace, our blog publishes month-by-month farming guides based on the Bikram Sambat calendar and traditional Nepali recipes.
